Hello and welcome to my site, dedicated to black and white fine art photography!

While my other site www.colinutz.com will more and more change to showcase my editorial, straight forward, documentary type of photography, which is used in newspapers, magazines, and textbooks, this site´s emphasis is totally different.

Although some of the photographs, you can see on this site, are representd by my stock agencies, too, they have nothing to do with their original state. They rather show a certain mood, than the reality, although the content is the same.

Some examples:

Both versions of the same picture serve a different purpose. While the color versions are typical stock photographs, which can be used to illustrate a newspaper or magazine article, my black and white interpretations are ment to decorate a wall in your home, to get published in a fine art photography book, or simply get watched for entertainment on your computer screen.

While a newspaper will reject any digital alterations (some famous photographers lost their job and reputation, because they made only minor tweaks on a news photograph), a fine art photograph is totally subjective, and has nothing to do with reality. Therefore, it doesn´t matter, if you like my interpretations, or not. My art is free, as it is yours!

Like every newly launched website, this is a work in progress. So, if you - hopefully - visit this site again, probably something has changed, removed, or added. Maybe, something is not working, as it should. Especially the galleries will grow and change constantly!

So, if you like or dislike something you see, or found a bug, please leave a comment.

Thanks!
